The most valuable items a New Yorker can have.
After much reflection, I've decided that the sheer indicator that one has "made it" in this city is if they're in possession of a washer and dryer. I loathe the laundromat and hate the fact that I am about to lug a suit case full of dirty clothing there in a few moments. I completely took advantage of how well I had it back in Chicago and I know that once I return, they will be the first things that I hug and kiss.
